Each Sendmetric billing plan includes a set number of delivered emails. If you exceed the number of emails in your plan in a given month, you are billed in 1,000 delivered email increments based on the rate for your plan. We do not count messages that were rejected as spam against your number of delivered emails. We do not count bounced messages either.

Almost every single SMTP smarthost on the market does not do any mail filtering when they receive a message. Therefore it is up to you to make sure you have validated the message sent out by your users as legitimate. Our service scans messages sent out by your users for spam and viruses. You don't have to worry about what your users are sending and controlling outbreaks.
All you have to do is sign up and then add a user. Afterwards you will have credentials to forward all your outbound mail from your mail server to our service using the DNS hostname we provide you. How long it takes to configure your mail server(s) to smarthost mail to our service depends on your mail server software. The process is usually a simple change.
We use various hosting providers throughout the world for our outbound mail infrastructure. Currently our infrastructure is located in the following U.S states: Texas and Ohio.
We use the standard mail ports of 25 & 587 along with a non-standard port of 2525 in case your Internet provider blocks the standard mail ports.
The maximum allowed size for each message is 50 MB.
Yes. Servers sending us mail can utilize TLS and when we try to forward your message to the destination, we try to send it via TLS if the receiving server supports it.
While it is not required to modify your SPF records, it is strongly recommended to do so. Otherwise you won't experience the maximum email deliverability capabilities as well as having your emails arriving in a users inbox. Understandably modifying hundreds or thousands of DNS records for all of your web hosting customers might be difficult, however there are easy ways to do this with shell scripting. If you need to be pointed in the right direction to accomplish this, just get in touch with us!
Our service will pass along the DKIM headers your mail server generates. We do not inject our own DKIM headers, however we do support passing along the DKIM headers generated by your server.
